5. Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum
Part of the Smithsonian Institution, Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum is divided in two facilities: the Udvar-Hazy Center at Washington Dulles International Airport and a huge building on the Mall in Washington, DC. Founded in 1946, the museum moved to the mall in 1976 but it couldn’t display all the artefacts due to which they had to open another facility in 2003.
